The London Night Time Commission has called on the Mayor to establish a Night Time Enterprise Zone.
The Night Time Commission has stated that the increased use of the high street after 6 pm would make London more liveable, relieve pressure on London’s infrastructure and boost local businesses. Following a successful pilot in 2019, the Mayor is expanding his Night Time Enterprise Zones programme across the capital.
“In extending the active hours of the capital’s high streets, there is also an opportunity to ensure that night work is good work.”
These first steps in the city will:
- 📈 Boost recovery
- 🧑⚕️ Support night workers
- ✅ Ensure better access to high streets for all Londoners
